About this coffee
Vietnam. 100% Robusta, ground to your order — whole bean, filter, or espresso fine.
Every other coffee on this shelf is Arabica. This one is not, and that is the point of it. Robusta carries roughly twice the caffeine, far less acid, and a body Arabica cannot reach - earthy and dark, chocolate through the middle, a nutty finish.
Vietnam is the second largest coffee producer in the world and grows mostly Robusta, which is why Vietnamese coffee tastes the way it does: brewed through a phin filter over condensed milk, strong enough that the milk cannot bury it. It pulls a heavy, low-acid espresso with a thick crema, and it is what a lot of Italian blends quietly use for exactly that.
